Woodcarving Departement

Training in Woodcarving follows the deeply rooted tradition of Bulgarian art. The wide variety of application of artistic activities performed by graduates of the speciality requires specific knowledge in various fields. Acquiring skills in the main supporting disciplines allows the experts to resolve issues in various artistic activities, including self-designing and creating works of art, research, consulting, organizational management and other activities. BA holders are prepared to perform artistic tasks of their own in the field of plastic arts. They possess the knowledge and practical skills in design and construction in the field of interior and furniture design, household items and plastic exterior. They are also entitled to teaching in art courses and secondary schools provided that they have taken “Theory and practice of art education” as a minor.
