From 26 to 30 March, the international exhibitions TECHNOMEBEL and WORLD OF FURNITURE will create conditions for sustainable business between the Bulgarian and foreign companies from the woodworking and furniture industry at Inter Expo Center, Sofia.

This opens to Bulgarian and foreign companies new opportunities for creating contacts, partnerships, implementation of deals and expansion of their business. The organizers from Inter Expo Center and the Branch Chamber of Woodworking and Furniture Industry are preparing a number of interesting initiatives, forums, demonstrations, company presentations.

TECHNOMEBEL and WORLD OF FURNITURE are exhibitions of big importance not only for Bulgaria but also for the region of Eastern Europe, commented participants at the last edition. Even then, a large number of them planned a future participation, booking their own stands. The international participation is increasing every year, and companies from Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Pakistan, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine will be presenting themselves at the exhibitions.

TECHNOMEBEL will present the latest innovations in furniture technology, woodworking machinery and equipment, designer solutions and furniture materials. WORLD OF FURNITURE will present current trends in all types of furniture, interior textiles, interior design, interior architecture and furnishings. They are becoming simultaneously a unified platform for professionals in the wood and furniture industry. The latest edition of the exhibitions brought together over 190 companies and was attended by more than 10,500 visitors.

Wood processing and furniture production are among the traditional industries for Bulgarian economy, and in the last years they also registered a constant growth. In 2017 this sector registered in Bulgaria a growth of 7% and the export of furniture exceeded 1.3% of the country's total exports. Globally, Bulgaria is ranked 68th in terms of gross amount of manufactures goods and 38th as an exporter of furniture. Bulgarian companies produce furniture not only for Western European furniture wholesalers, but many 4of them also specialize in the so-called contract business, furnishing hotels and business buildings across Europe.
